Caring for your trees starts before planting.

Planting a large tree is a big investment. Please read the important information below to best prepare to care for your trees after they are planted. Our number one goal is the success of your new trees and we are willing do whatever it take to make that happen.

  • Water is the most important factor when planting any tree. An adequate supply of water is critical for the success of your new tree and drip irrigation is key to delivering the right amount of water in the right place. We have literature available with instructions and schedules for watering your new trees. Following these instructions will ensure that your tree gets the water it needs. Please give us a call or send us a message and we will be happy to provide that information.

  • Proper nutrition is the second most important factor when it comes to the success of your tree. The addition of fertilizers at the proper time is critical to building new roots and ensuring that your tree is able to thrive in years to come. We will be happy to provide a schedule of fertilizer needs for your new plants or let us take care or the fertilizer through the first year after planting.

  • Several items need to be considered when preparing for a new tree planting.

    Site Selection
Choose a site that has adequate drainage. If drainage is an issue, we need to address this first.

    Truck Size
Our trucks will weight around 60k lbs loaded. Soft turf areas, stone drives and septic systems must be avoided. Depending on tree location we have plywood available to put down to protect drive edges and keep rutting of yards to a minimum.

    Utility Location
Depending on where the planting will occur a utility locate may need to be done. This is critical to ensure that no public utilities are disrupted during the digging process.
